Portugal and Croatia played out a thrilling 1-1 draw in Split, ensuring both teams advanced to the UEFA Nations League quarterfinals.
Portugal had already secured top spot in their group following a dominant 5-1 victory over Poland in the previous matchweek, which allowed them to rest key players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Bernardo Silva. Despite making several changes to their lineup, coach Roberto Martinez's side showed plenty of quality in the first half, with Rafael Leao causing constant problems for the Croatian defense. Joao Felix gave Portugal the lead with a brilliant finish from Vitinha's long pass.

The second half saw chances for both sides, with Croatia's goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic making a vital save to deny Nuno Mendes after a cross from Francisco Conceicao. At the other end, Ante Budimir came close with a powerful shot, forcing a fantastic save from Portugal's goalkeeper Jose Sa, before hitting the post in stoppage time.
Ultimately, Scotland's late victory over Poland had no bearing on Croatia's qualification, as they secured their spot in the next stage, while Poland was relegated to the second tier.
